Be present in Guelph and Wellington discussions about improving housing options for those who are unable to maintain a permanent home without some level of assistance
Our unique contribution in Guelph and Wellington County will be to emphasize the need for housing options with multi-faceted and embedded assistance so that more residents can avoid falling into or being pushed into homelessness

What We Believe
MyOwnPlace Guelph is focused on preventing homelessness by creating deeply affordable, permanent homes with the supports people need to stay housed. We are not a shelter, we are not transitional housing. We are a group of concerned citizens who are advocating for permanent change. Our goal is to provide long-term stability for people who are at risk of losing their housing or who cannot afford market rents. We believe in housing models that combine secure, low-cost housing with wraparound services that promote health, income stability, community connection and independence.
